The Challenge

The National Championship

G-TRAC is the Ghana Tech, Robotics & AI Challenge. Schools compete through the season in two leagues, and the best teams in each go through to the National Championship.

Digital Engineering League

For every school. No hardware needed.

Teams build software: games, animations, websites, tools and AI projects. Each week they submit a link to their project and a short explanation.

At the final

  • A theme announced on the day
  • A 3-hour build time
  • Offline machines, so every team works independently

Hardware League

For schools and clubs with the official kits.

Teams build and program physical robots with the official G-TRAC hardware. Each week they submit a video of the robot working and its code.

At the final

  • Robots built from official G-TRAC hardware
  • Fully autonomous: no remote controls

The season

  1. 1

    Register

Your school registers and chooses its league. Teachers then enter teams and create student logins.

  2. 2

    Weekly missions

Each week HQ releases a mission for each league, with a deadline. Teams submit before it closes.

  3. 3

    League points

Judged scores add up on separate Digital and Hardware leaderboards, updated as judges score.

  4. 4

    The final

The top teams in each league compete at the National Championship.

Fair judging

Both leagues are judged on the same five dimensions, so a coding project and a robot are held to the same standard.

  • Technical execution
  • Design thinking
  • Innovation
  • Communication
  • Collaboration

Any score of 80% or more only counts once a second, different judge confirms it. Every score change is recorded permanently: who gave it, when, and why. AI tools may suggest a score to help judges, but a person always decides.

Key dates

  1. 5 December 2026

    Maiden National Championship
